Meet The Team

Nicanor Amper III

Nicanor Amper III

CEO & Co-Founder, Image Visionary

In the co-creation of Amper Image Sciences™, Nicanor envisions a brave new future for the multi-billion dollar beauty/fashion and image industry, where style is defined from the inside out to light up an infinite spectrum of self-expression.

Nicanor has long been known for his entrepreneurial potential and propensity to think big. With early experience learning from names like Jheri Redding and Paul Mitchell, he became involved in train-the-trainer initiatives and international hair shows from Long Beach to New York, and he cut a career for himself as educator, mentor, platform artist, and global artistic director for an international line of beauty products. A closet math geek with an electronics background, along the way he was always observing, analyzing, deconstructing, creating . . . searching for ways to propel and improve his profession.

He’s learned the most from listening. Inspired by the stories of clients and colleagues over his 30 years in style/image artistry and education, Nicanor is now engaging his artistic expertise with the science of beauty to engineer a convenient technology that will help people optimize their personal style and finally find their fit in fashion.

When Nicanor’s not contemplating beauty conundrums or coming up with industry disruptors, he enjoys playing golf or guitar, researching science and economic topics, and walking his dogs.

Colleen Abrie

Colleen Abrie

Head of Creative Things & Co-Founder

Colleen brings unique expertise to Amper Image Sciences™ with broad experience in cosmetology, personal styling and image consulting as well as education and mentoring of up-and-coming professionals. In her 30 years working with women and men in California’s vibrant and international San Francisco Bay Area, she has stayed on the forefront of style and fashion, and she’s observed important trends in changing lifestyles, technology and consumer behaviors that are shaping the future of the industry.

One such trend is the transformational power of image, and our very redefining of image as power. Colleen believes that all forms of beauty should be not only acceptable but desired, and she views the style/image work she does with clients as a way to help them see how their true selves can be expressed . . . and she sees nothing less than a metaphysical connection between that self-expression and greater global consciousness. No wonder she’s joshed as a real “joy junkie.”

With her holistic approach Colleen excels in connecting with clients to create unique image solutions that flow seamlessly with individual personality, proportions and lifestyle. Artistic, intuitive and logical with a no-bull head for business, Colleen is jazzed to be part of Amper’s powerful new technology platform that promises to put that personalized process in the consumer’s pocket.

When she’s not considering the human condition or shattering media-image molds, Colleen loves meditation, her dogs, French champagne, lipstick, and her worldwide search for the perfect gluten-free cookie. She says she would never do anything just for the money, and we believe her.
